Eventhough the band officially started on December 2004, Chris (vox/guitars) and Ivan (bass/vox) have been playing ever since. Having a hard time of finding a permanent drummer, Chris literally forced his brother Bobby to learn how to play drums - made him the youngest member of the band at the age of 15 and finally completed this three-piece band. After they have won the recent Nescafe Soundskool inter-school competition, Hilera is now making a buzz in the rock scene. Came from Kalayaan College and besting others from prominent schools like Ateneo and Mapua the band has always been the underdog in this competition (the fact that they were always at the last in the text votes tally) - well it goes to show that rock is not a popularity contest after all. Their music? you’ve got to listen to it because it’s a bit of everything: maybe because of the wide music influences of the members that made this band different, a trully buzz worthy.
